CLOSING BELL: SENSEX HITS RECORD HIGH
Benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty scaled their fresh lifetime closing high on Monday. The 30-share BSE Sensex settled 216.98 points, or 0.68 per cent, up at 32,245.87, while NSE Nifty index closed 51.15 points, or 0.52 per cent, up at 9,966.40. The 50-share index needs 33 points to hit the psychologically important level of 10,000.
