Stock Market Pointer -

Sensex, on Friday closed 5 points up at 28,335 as investors were cautious ahead of IIP numbers.. Among sectors, Capital goods, Technology and IT gained over 0.4% to 2.1% each. Among stocks, Infosys, Adani Ports and TCS gained over 2.1% to 3.1% each. Market breadth was negative with 1,551 declines against 1,307 advances.

Nifty closed 15 points up at 8,794. Today, we expect markets to open positive amid positive global cues. 

US Markets closed on a positive note. Dow closed 0.5% up while Nasdaq closed 2.9% higher. U.S. stocks advanced for the fourth time last week as indexes added to records and investors assessed President Trump’s pledge to overhaul business taxes. 

Asian markets are trading on a positive note; Nikkei and Hang Seng are trading 0.6% higher. SGX Nifty is trading 40 points up at 8,848. Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI Bank closed 0.8% lower, while HDFC Bank closed 0.3% higher. Among IT ADRs, Wipro closed flat and Infosys lost 0.5%. Tata Motors ADR closed flat.
