Nifty (April) futures off at a premium of 13.15 points versus a premium 10.30 points.
Total open interest in the stock market was Rs284,406 crore after addition of Rs13.28 crore in open interest.
Nifty call options added 24.45 lakh shares in open interest whereas put options added 4.96 lakh shares in open interest.
Stock Market Commentary
The benchmark Indian stock market indices started the day on a negative note on account of negative cues from the global markets.
Around 2.81 lakh shares were shed in OI, with the decrease in price implying long unwinding by stock market participants in today’s trade.
On the stock option front, the India Volatility Index (VIX) increased in today’s trade by ~3.56%.
